Margarita Dubeau de Báez (born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Octuber 17th, 1963) never ceased to respond the call of art. Since her youth days at the school of art in Puerto Plata, a small town on the north coast of the island, and now, living in the United States, her search and interest in the arts had been a constant that today is revealed from the hand of realism, going toward more advanced paths surpassing the narrow academic-decorative vision to project herself on experimental formulations with a photographic base.

The work that we see here testify about the fresh and penetratting proximity to the urban landscape that her caribbean eyes can give to certain corners catched during her travels.

Canvases that reveal a true resolution of an static testimonial, that, without the introduction of any being, give us a simple scene loaded with humanism and poetry.
